Michelle Rosa Martins ’11, M.S. ’15

Director of Patient Experience and Family Centered Care at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence

Dr. Michelle Rosa Martins is passionate about community and social change. She is driven by purpose and grounded in action-oriented leadership. A change agent focused on access and inclusion; Michelle is known for her relational leadership style. She stands out for her ability to apply data, research, and theory to trending challenges. Professionally, Michelle has spent most of her career in higher education transforming institutional cultures to support students who have been historically marginalized. Using her educational philosophy and relational approach, she joined the leadership team at Women & Infants Hospital less than two years ago seeking to impact change for Rhode Islanders and now serves as the Director of Patient and Family-Centered Care.

While Michelle enjoys social change, she would rather spend all her time with her three kids and husband on a beach.
