Ocean Science Posters and Conversation

Wednesday, December 7, 2022
6:30-8 p.m.

Coastal Institute Auditorium
210 S. Ferry Road
Narragansett, Rhode Island

The University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO) is a
community of coastal and ocean scientists, engineers, students, policy experts,
administrators, communicators and educators. We are launching a new slate of events
to showcase the groundbreaking science happening on the Bay Campus and the
people who work to understand and protect the ocean and resources for the future.

Please join us for a special ocean science poster session—an opportunity to speak
directly with established and emerging ocean leaders from the URI Graduate
School of Oceanography and Bay Campus. Over a dozen graduate students and faculty
members will share their research through posters illustrating the impact of climate
change on North Atlantic right whales, the health of Narragansett Bay, the latest in
seafloor mapping technology, and much more. GSO Dean Paula Bontempi will kick off
the event and share her thoughts on the extraordinary contributions made by GSO.

Registration deadline: Tuesday, December 6
