URI Men’s Basketball is headed to South Carolina to take on the College of Charleston and alumni, parents, and friends are invited to make it a Rhody weekend! Whether you’re local to the area or are traveling with the team, enjoy a fun weekend in this historic city. Sign up for as many URI activities as you’d like with plenty of time to explore Charleston on your own as well.

Cooper River Brewing Co., 2201 Mechanic St. B, Charleston
Join alumni, parents, and friends along with URI Director of Athletics, Thorr Bjorn, at a favorite Charleston microbrewery founded by Jamie Martin, son of Cathy and URI Trustee Tom Ryan ’75, H.’99. Enjoy craft brews and appetizers, with Smash City Burgers food truck available for additional food options to purchase.
Cost: Complimentary; includes appetizers and one drink ticket.
Saturday, December 9, 10 a.m.
International African American Museum, 14 Wharfside St., Charleston
Join fellow alumni, parents, and friends on an immersive, eye-opening tour through the museum’s galleries, which tell the dynamic story of the international African American experience. Tour is self-guided.
Cost: Discounted group admission rate of $16.95 per adult.

Rusty Bull Brewing Co., 337 King St., Charleston
Meet up with URI fans, including South Carolina alumni network leader Adam Korson ’16, hear from URI Director of Athletics, Thorr Bjorn, and grab some Rhody swag before the game!
